Narrow rug, 6'7" x 4'11" ft, hand-knotted in Afghanistan. The field is deep burgundy-red with dark maroon and brown areas. Small ivory and muted orange motifs sit across the surface, and the border runs darker than the center.
This rug has a dense, handmade weave with fringed ends. The pattern reads as Turkmen tribal, with repeating floral boteh-style motifs and geometric lattice details. We design this rug, and our production partner handcrafts it in Afghanistan. The colors are vegetable dyed.
