Lapis lazuli freeform, 36 cm long. This is a polished stone from Afghanistan. The blue is deep and even on the main face, with gold-toned flecks and lighter veining on the side. It sits solidly in hand and has a clean, flat polish.
The shape reads more like a mineral specimen than a small decorative stone. The front surface has a strong blue field, while the edge shows more calcite-like pale areas. It is a good fit for a collector shelf, desk display, or a lapis meditation stone. Traditionally associated with focus and calm, if that is part of how you use stones. All photos are taken in natural sunlight.
