Soft Rug 359 x 257 cm from Afghanistan. Hand-knotted Merino wool with a blue field and repeating floral medallions in cream, green, burgundy, navy, and black. The borders are tight and clean. The depth of blue on this piece is notable.
This is a full-size floor rug for a large room, under a dining table, or a queen bed setup with extra coverage on the sides. Merino fibers hold dye differently than coarse wool, so the color reads softer and more even in daylight. It has a wool foundation for extra reinforcement. The weave is dense, and the detail stays sharp across the field. Spot clean with wool-safe shampoo. Use a professional wash for deep cleaning.
