9x12 wool rug, 9'10" x 6'9" ft, Afghan Beljik area rug in red, navy, rust, and ivory. The field is saturated red with a darker border and small ivory highlights. The surface has a worn look and low pile. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan, Ghazni
This Beljik uses tribal patterns with guls and medallions. The wool feels dense, and the knots sit tighter than normal — merino wool is finer than regular sheep wool, so the weave packs in closely. It is natural and untreated, with no dye. The wool foundation helps the base hold up better in busy spots. It works on a floor, under a desk, or along a shelf wall.
