Square wool rug 6'10" x 4'12" ft, hand-knotted Afghan Volayati area rug in ivory, navy, brown, and burgundy. Woven in the Ghazni region of Afghanistan with a central medallion and dense border work.
This one has tighter knots than normal and a denser feel under hand. The wool is fine and the surface sits low to medium pile. It fits a queen bed layout, a medium hallway, or a dining table setup. Volayati rugs use geometric medallion designs — bolder and simpler than Khamyab. This style is traditionally associated with calm focus, and some buyers use a rug like this as a meditation mat or altar base.
