Luxurious handmade rug featuring a tight, top-quality 50/50 double-knot weave and soft sheep's wool amazingly soft to touch.
Turkish Wool Rug 211 x 153 cm from Afghanistan. Handmade Khamyab pattern in red, ivory, and navy. The field has octagonal guls with cream outlines and dark borders. The pile looks dense, with tight knotting and clear motif edges.
Woven in the Ghazni region of Afghanistan. The design reads Bokhara style, with repeated gul rows and small border bands. The wool is hand-spun and naturally colored, with no dye added. Small pattern shifts are normal and come from hand-knotting. It lies well on the floor and also works under a desk, next to a bed, or on a shelf display wall if you store it rolled.
All photos are taken in natural sunlight.
