Double knotted neutral high quality soft and durable Wool Rug 6'7" x 4'11" ft from Afghanistan, hand-knotted Volayati with a cobalt blue field, black border, and central medallion. The pile sits low to medium and the rug has a tight, dense weave with fringe on one end.
Woven in the Ghazni region of Afghanistan. This style is an everyday rug with a sturdy pile and a straightforward layout, not a loose decorative weave. The wool foundation reinforces the base, and the knots are tighter than normal for this type — denser than you'd expect at this size. It works under a queen bed, in a bedroom, or in a medium-traffic room where you want a rug that stays put and handles daily use.
