Double-knotted Merino wool Rug 9'10" x 6'7" ft from Afghanistan. Handmade Afghan Beljik area rug in red, ivory, and navy. The pattern is geometric with guls and medallions. The size is 300 x 200 cm.
Woven in Afghanistan using merino wool. The pile feels dense, with tighter knots than a standard piece in this style. Area-sized rugs like this can take 8-14 months of continuous weaving. Wool is naturally moisture-repellent and spot-cleans easily. The wool becomes softer with use. This one sits well in a large room, under a bed, or in a dining setup.
