Braided Wool Rug 6'11" x 3'0" ft. Afghan Beljik runner rug, hand-knotted in Afghanistan. The pattern is red and navy with cream, coral, dark green, and black. The pile looks dense. The fringe is finished.
Beljik rugs are double-knotted, so the knot count per square inch is roughly twice normal. This one is woven in Afghanistan using merino wool. Wool has natural oils, so it handles spills better than many fibers. Vacuum it regularly. Spot clean with mild shampoo. With normal care, wool often softens over time and can last for decades. This piece is natural and untreated. No dye.
