This authentic handmade Afghan Chobi rug originates from the Hazara region, an area globally celebrated for its masterful craftsmanship and rich weaving heritage. The word “Chobi” means “wood” in Persian, representing the earthy, natural tones and deep cultural meaning these rugs carry in Middle Eastern traditions.
Each rug is dyed with 100% natural ingredients such as fruit peels, roots, tree bark, nut shells, and dried flowers—sourced from forests and hand-processed to preserve both quality and sustainability. The rugs are woven using wool, cotton, or silk and are known for their durability, softness, and timeless charm. Creating a single medium-sized rug can take 12 to 14 months, while larger pieces may take 2 to 3 years.
